Annamalai University offers seven semesters Part Time degree program in engineering into its various engineering departments. The university conducts an entrance examination for admission into these courses.

The degree awarded after successful completion of the program is Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.). The admission is restricted to those persons working or residing within a radius of 75 Km from Annamalainagar.

The applications of all such candidates should be routed through the applicants’ employer. The Part Time B.E degree programs offered by Annamalai University are considered equivalent to regular full time B.E program for purpose of higher studies and job.

Civil and Structural Engineering

A pass in a Diploma Course in Civil / Civil and Structural conducted by the State Board of Technical Education of Tamil Nadu or its equivalent examination with three years Professional experience in a recognized industry / organization after the Diploma Examination.

Mechanical Engineering

A pass in a Diploma Course in Mechanical conducted by the State Board of Technical Education of Tamil Nadu or its equivalent examination with three years Professional experience in a recognized industry / organization after the Diploma Examination.

Electrical and Electronics Engineering

A pass in a Diploma Course in Electrical and Electronics conducted by the State Board of Technical Education of Tamil Nadu or its equivalent examination with three years Professional experience in a recognized industry / organization after the Diploma Examination.

Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering

A pass in a Diploma Course in Electrical and Electronics / Electronics and Instrumentation / Electronics and Communication / Computer Science and Engineering / Instrumentation and Control / Electronics Engg. / Information Technology conducted by the State Board of Technical Education of Tamil Nadu or its equivalent examination with three years Professional experience in a recognized industry / organization after the Diploma Examination.

Chemical Engineering

A pass in a Diploma Course in Chemical Engineering conducted by the State Board of Technical Education of Tamil Nadu or its equivalent examination with three years Professional experience in a recognized industry / organization after the Diploma Examination.

• Minimum Experience: 3 years after passing Diploma Course
• The admission is restricted to those working or residing within a radius of 75 Km from Annamalainagar. The application should be sent through their employers.

Annamalai University BE Part Time Seat Allocation

The number of seats for the program is not fixed as this is a part-time program and allotment of seats is done on the basis of the number of applicants.

Annamalai University BE Part Time Admission Process

The Part-time programs are conducted only when sufficient numbers of applications are received. Candidates are selected based on entrance examination and interview. Entrance Examination is held at Annamalainagar Centre only.
