Vellore Institute of Technology - Engineering Entrance Exam

VIT, a University under section 3 of the UGC act 1956, offers a variety of courses for Engineering, Science and Management students. Apart from Undergraduate courses and Postgraduate courses, students can opt for dual degrees and part-time programs as well.

VIT conducts a common entrance examination known as VITEEE for admission into various courses in engineering and technology. The programs are offered at various schools of engineering and technology.

Advertisement is published in all leading newspapers all over India and also notified in the VIT website. From the advertisement one can have detailed information on issue of application forms, important dates etc.

Important Points :

The application form can be obtained by any of the following means:

1. From the designated branches of Post Offices on cash payment of Rs.750/-. Details of branches are available on information brochure and in the website.

2. By sending a crossed Demand Draft for Rs.750/- drawn in favour of “VIT University”, payable at Vellore, to the Admission Officer with a request letter containing the full address of the applicant.

3. By handing over a DD for Rs.750/- in person at VIT University, Vellore or at the Chennai Office.(080807) 
 

Application Process

Applications can be obtained from selected branches of State Bank of India, Indian Bank and Post Offices /may be obtained by post from VIT.  

Foreign Nationals

Seats can be reserved by payment of an advance of 2,000 USD for B.Tech Courses, 1,000 USD for all other Courses.

This advance will be adjusted while paying the first year fees. The Demand Draft to be drawn in favour of “Vellore Institute of Technology, Vellore” has to be sent to the address along with a letter.
